An evening of intimate music and immersive visuals.

Iranian-born, Indian-raised Azam Ali has confirmed her place as one of the most prolific, versatile, and gifted singers, producers, and composers on the international stage today. Together with Iranian multi-instrumentalist/composer Loga Ramin Torkian, she pioneered the cutting-edge acoustic/electronic music group NIYAZ which became an instant world music sensation.

Taking inspiration from the exhibition Persia: Ancient Iran and the Classical World, Azam and Loga have curated an intimate, acoustic performance featuring a collective of extraordinary musicians as well as immersive visuals projected on the facade of the Getty Villa Museum.

Persia After Hours is a collaboration between Farhang Foundation, UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music, and Getty.

DJ set by Omid Walizadeh and special exhibition tours.

DJ Omid performs a set of his own productions and remixes that blend his experimental hip-hop roots with sounds spanning 1970’s Persian funk to the Tehrangeles scene of the 1980’s.

Food concessions and bar open until 7:45 p.m.

Museum galleries are open until 7:45 p.m.
